Trackman iO Just Got Better: Attack Angle Comes to Every Club in Your Bag

Just released: Attack Angle and Low Point Distance Measurement Are Now Available for Every Club.

Innovation that keeps Trackman iO the most accurate simulator platform available.

What it means for your practice:

  • For seasoned players, this is another layer of feedback you can act on — now across the scoring clubs where small impact changes make the biggest difference.

  • For anyone taking a lesson, the low point distance is often easier to talk through than the attack angle, which makes coaching conversations clearer and practice sessions more productive.

  • Whichever end of the spectrum you’re on, it adds up to the same thing: smarter reps and reliable insight into what to adjust.

Trackman Attack Angle now for all clubs

Attack angle tells you whether the club is moving up or down at the moment of impact, and the low point shows where the club bottoms out relative to the ball. Together, they’re the clearest picture of what actually happens at contact — the difference between a shot that’s flushed and one that’s a touch fat or thin.

Trackman CoFounder explains Attack Angle accuracy

“We’ve had a lot of customers asking for this. It’s something we’ve wanted to deliver as well, but first we had to make sure the data quality level was up to Trackman standards. Now we’re at that point, and we’re excited to put it in people’s hands.”

— Fredrik Tuxen, Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder, Trackman

Part 3 of 3 in the Mastering Your Mental Game Series: Attitude

Intention defines the goal. Attention delivers the action. Attitude is the glue that holds it all together.

  • In this final edition of Trackman University’s Mental Game Series, the focus is on how to have the right mindset to access your skills consistently.

  • Even with the right intention and a solid focus, adopting the right attitude is essential to your performance.

  • The brain sees golf as either a threat or an opportunity. A negative response to a bad shot can increase tension and trigger a “fight, flight, or freeze” response.

  • By replacing self-judgment with curiosity and an attitude of gratitude, players can reduce the perceived threat, allowing the brain to see golf as an opportunity, freeing up performance.

  • Diffusing your automatic response using a 1-2-3 system: 1 is a great shot; 2 is good enough; 3 is a poor shot. Verbalizing our 1, 2, or 3 can be good. Instead of reacting negatively to our 3’s, we can pre-program our brain to accept a realistic number of 3’s per round. This prevents contamination and brings focus on the next shot.

  • Trackman’s measurable data can help show you how well your attitude connects with your intention and execution.

Part 2 of 3 in the Mastering Your Mental Game Series: Focused Attention During a Golf Swing

Train Your Attention, Transform Your Game

  • In this second edition of Trackman University’s Mental Game Series, we learn another technique to leverage our practice reps with Trackman to unlock a developed skill out on the course: focusing our attention on one thing during our swing.

  • Most of us spend hours perfecting our mechanics — weight transfer, elbow position, stance — but leave one critical variable completely untrained: where our mind goes during the swing.

  • The premise is simple: a golf swing lasts about 1.2 seconds, and where your attention lives during those seconds directly shapes the outcome.

  • One practical starting point from the video is the "Joining the Dots" drill: place a marker or a dot at the center of your club face and another at the center of the ball, then train yourself to connect them mentally throughout the swing.

  • Then let Trackman's Impact Location and Dispersion data tell you whether it's working — and compare it against other focus approaches to find what works best for your game.

  • Attention is where performance lives.

  • You can unify the power of technology with the power of focused attention and expect great results on the course this season.
